At Alta, we are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion that values and respects the unique perspectives, backgrounds, and contributions of every individual. Our mission is to create an environment where all employes feel empowered to thrive, innovate, and succeed, driving organizational excellence and social impact.

Our DEI journey is still in its early stages, and we’re dedicated to building a thoughtful framework with initiatives that truly benefit all Alta employees. In 2024, our efforts have centered on supporting women across the company. For 2025, our focus will expand to underrepresented groups and deepen our commitment to local communities. I’m excited to see the impact these initiatives will bring as we continue this work together.

Policies and Practices

Alta has established a Policy as well as a Diversity and Inclusion Committee to coordinate and implement plans and programs regarding diversity and inclusion. The Vice President of Human Resources will oversee this committee. The committee is comprised of a diverse group of employees from different levels, departments, locations as well as being diverse in the more traditional sense of race, gender, and age.

Recruitment and Retention

At Alta, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce by actively seeking talent from underrepresented groups and fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to succeed. Our recruitment efforts prioritize equity, ensuring fair access to opportunities for all candidates. Once onboard, we invest in our employees’ growth and development, providing mentorship programs, training, and resources that support long-term success and engagement. By cultivating a culture of belonging, we aim to not only attract top talent but also retain individuals who bring unique perspectives, experiences, and innovation to our organization.

DEI Framework

We’ve started building out our DEI framework. Our first pillar – is the Women at Alta initiative. We are currently working on adding more pillars, but we want them to develop organically. Most importantly, we aim to create pillars that are unique to our business model and align with our goals and mission.

Employee Resource Groups

The Women at Alta employee resource group meets quarterly, offering a platform for women across Alta to network, collaborate, and support each other. These sessions foster a sense of belonging by connecting individuals with shared backgrounds, interests, and experiences.

Community Engagement

Alta Cares Foundation, the 501(c)3 arm of Alta Equipment Group, supports programs led by employees to enhance community well-being. With initial funding from the ALTG board and individual donations, resources will go toward an Employee Hardship program, developed with HR and Corporate Counsel, and employee-driven initiatives like Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, and other mission-aligned charities.

Under-Represented Groups

We are dedicated to creating opportunities and fostering an inclusive environment for individuals from historically underrepresented groups, ensuring their voices are heard, valued, and empowered within our organization.
